Axis Of / Gascan Ruckus – 30th June 2012

Youth of a Nation presents two of the most powerful bands on the NI music scene at the moment.

Axis Of are an alternative hardcore band based in Belfast Northern Ireland. Despite their relatively young age they have made a tremendous impact with their uncompromisingly big sound, intense live shows and thoughtful lyrics.

Following a string of packed out gigs all over Ireland they are starting to bring the same momentum over the UK and further afield. After finishing 2010 supporting Irish titans Therapy? and And So I Watch You From Afar, 2011 started with a bang when they were chosen by Rocksound Magazine to record a session in the legendary BBC Maida Vale studios aired on the Daniel P Carter Rock Show. The following UK tour was their most successful to date with Rocksound magazine labeling them “The most exciting band to come out of Northern Ireland, possibly ever”.

Gascan Ruckus aren’t very subtle, they arent very tactful and they don’t beat around the bush. What they are is visceral, frantic and angry recalling the likes of The Bronx and The Flatliners.

Gascan Ruckus have a busy twelve months With two single releases and two UK tour’s completed, including a sought after showcase at Liverpool Sound City Festival, and a support slot with Dinosaur Pile-Up.
