Grant Hart & The Burn/Burning – 16th June 2013

Grant Hart is an American musician, best known as the drummer and co-songwriter for the influential alternative rock and hardcore punk band Hüsker Dü.

As one of the two primary songwriters of seminal 80′s group Hüsker Dü, Grant Hart helped shape the sound and voice of indie-rock to come, influencing bands that followed, including Nirvana and the Pixies. After the dissolution of the band he shared with Bob Mould for nearly a decade, Hart went on to form Nova Mob and then put out a handful of critically acclaimed solo albums over the years, including Hot Wax and Intolerance.

In July of this year, Grant will release his highly anticipated new album, The Argument on Domino Records, followed by a European tour with his four-piece band The Burn/Burning. The album is based on John Milton’s Epic poem, Paradise Lost and will coincide with the new documentary Every Everything – The Life and Times Of Grant Hart, directed by Gorman Bechard.

Grant Hart & The Burn/Burning play The Pine Lodge, Myrtleville on Sunday 16th June 2013 at 4pm sharp (yes this is an afternoon gig, he will play DeBarras Clonakilty at 9pm the same evening!). Check out the facebook event. The gig is promoted by Word Of Mouth.
